✅ YES — toss these in loose:

• Cardboard & paperboard (flattened boxes, cereal boxes)
• Paper — mail, newspaper, magazines, office paper
• Plastic bottles & jugs (#1 and #2 — water bottles, milk jugs, detergent bottles; empty and rinsed, caps on)
• Aluminum cans & steel/tin cans (rinsed)

❌ NO — these contaminate the whole cart:

• Plastic bags or bagged recyclables (keep everything loose!)
• Glass bottles or jars
• Styrofoam, food waste, or greasy boxes (that pizza box goes in the trash)
• Batteries, electronics, hoses, cords, or tanglers
• Diapers, clothing, or yard waste

When in doubt, throw it out — one wrong item can send the whole load to the landfill. Empty, clean, dry, and loose is the rule.
